Our CLUB rides are on the
SECOND SUNDAY of the month
unless stated otherwise.
Most of the time we meet from 8:15 to 9 am at
Carl's Jr.
1745 S Victoria Ave, Ventura.
This is in the Trader Joe's shopping center
where you can also fuel up.
and we leave at 9 am sharp unless stated otherwise.
WE HAVE THE PRE-RIDE TALK AT 8:50.
Sometimes we will start from a different place and
when we do it we will let you know where.
I will email the riders on our email list on the Wednesday
before our ride with the latest ride info.

and you do not have to be a member to ride with us.

We could also have a pick up at the Albertsons shopping center at 23850 Copperhill Dr. Valencia but you need to let me know if you will be there so we can arrange the pick up.

May 2- Ride 4 Kids  Brain Tumor Fundraiser.
Note from Roy- Let me thank all the Members that are going on this ride.  I know you have to get up real early for this but this is that one day a year where we put aside the "little things" that bother us and do what we can to help these Kids with brain tumors and we hope that the Kids we saw last year are still alive so we can see them this year.

This is a police-escorted ride!  
If you are going on this ride please let me know ASAP how much you are able to
contribute so I can give the total to owner Craig Adams since he will match us up to $5,000.

DEPARTING AT 7 AM at the Camarillo Shell station located on
Los Posas Rd. and the 101 and then take PCH to 10 to 405 and off at Western.  
We donated $600 in 2009, our goal is to raise more in 2010.   Let me know when you
donate to RFK so I can give you a $20 Gift Card  for Cal Coast Motorsports to
THANK YOU.  They will have donuts, bread and drinks for us.

Bill's Hwy 58 Loop

This is a LONG ride so we will meet at 8:15am in Ojai and depart at 9am

We will NOT meet at Carl's Jr.
Enjoy this ride up the 33 to Hwy 58 west where we will be riding along the 
Carrizo Plain National Monument and see some poppies then west to the
101 South  back home.
The first gas stop is in Taft, 100 miles from Ojai so some of you might want to top off at
the Circle K in Ojai just 1/2 mile south of Full of Beans.

May - The Channel Islands Wings will be having their annual Straw-O-Berry Ride,
check their Flier for all the info.  
May 22,23,24 - This is our annual 3 day ride called the "Welcome to Summer Ride".  It was too hot when we did it in June 2009 so we opted for May.  We will be doing a good portion of Hwy 49, the Gold Country road along the west side of the Sierras.   Please bring walking shoes.

and we will start our trip up 33 at 8am.

Then a tour of the world famous California Historical Landmark No. 916 Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno for those that want to take it with me.  The 1 hour tour is $12 with the last tour starting at 2.
Our first night will be spent in Mariposa and we are trying to have everyone stay at the

Because this is a Saturday night the rooms are $139 so maybe you can get a  2 bed room and split it, that is what I have done. Super 8 is right across the street and their rooms start at $89.
Either way, BOOK YOUR ROOMS AS SOON AS YOU CAN.  Then join us for a relaxing walk around town.

When we leave Mariposa Sunday morning we will ride on theses esses on 49.  I took this photo in 1983 on my Honda CB900C on a wonderful solo trip.  Click on photo for larger image so you can see the esses close up and see if you can spot the lone car.

(Tim passed away August 22, 2008 so all our August rides will be in his memory.)
We will do Tepusquet Rd. to Cuyama Valley again and try to do it as planned.
Tepusquet Bridge should be done.
*Sept. 12-  Big Bear Ride.  We will take back roads to get there.
Sept. 18 + 19 - Route 66 Rendezvous overnighter.  We will leave Saturday and return Sunday. Let me know when you have booked your room at

Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park and then back roads to the
Adolfo Camarillo Ranch.  Suggested by Alison.

*Dec. 12 -  How about a Holiday Party as part of this ride?  Maybe Kampi in Oxnard after the ride?  And if it rains like it did in 2009 we could just drive to the restaurant at 12:30.  Open to suggestions.
