Everyone,
OUR
SUNDAY RIDE On
Jan. 10th we will do a clockwise ride
through the county (no freeways) and ride up Black
Canyon in Simi Valley and have lunch at Smokey's
House of BBQ in Oxnard,
check out their menu
here. Smokey's was
suggested by a Member who said it is in a new shopping center that is
next to a new bay side neighborhood called Seabridge. Before
lunch we will
ride through the "new" downtown section of Oxnard. My sister
Maureen has been working for the Oxnard Planning Commission for quite a
while and about 7 years ago she took on the big project of
revitalizing downtown Oxnard while still having the old
Oxnard atmosphere. The result is a much safer place
where people can stroll around at nighttime and check out the new
modern stores as well as the updated older stores. I am really proud of
my sister for this successful project. After lunch we can
ride up old PCH and catch 150 in Carpenteria, ride by Lake Casitas and
have a coffee stop in Ojai to finish off our first ride of the new year. View

CONTEST
We had 3 entries for our new logo and I want to thank those members for
taking the time to design them. It is up to our members to
decide which one they want as our new logo and remember, the new logo
will be on our web site and our shirts. Here are the 3 logos
and then below them you can vote. The winning logo will be
chosen on Jan. 11th.
