MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Looking for the best price on MC gear?  Get it at Cal Coast Motorsports!
Owner Craig Adams wants you to know "
our everyday pricing on Shoei helmets is
better than most online sites.  Also, we will match any online prices on equal terms
on current merchandise.  Simply print out the offer or bring it in on your phone.
We ask that everyone keep their business local and support the Cal Coast as we support them."
I have mentioned many times before how important it is to support Cal Coast Motorsports because
you will keep your money local, keep local employees employed and have Cal Coast Motorsports
here when you need them.  So this personal message from Craig should answer any questions you
have about price matching.

September's Ride:  Heels and Wheels Ride!

Click the pic for the video

Nice  September ride!  Roy's ST had a battery problem so Robert Arance led the ride today... Thank you Robert!  A group of thirteen bikes, three of which were 2 up,  headed out from Full of Beans towards Ventura HD to see off the women of the Heels and Wheels Ride. We started off with a ride through downtown Ojai followed by a ride on Dennison grade...a personal favorite of mine! We took Gravel...I mean Balcolm Canyon...then meandered the back roads to Ventura HD. Wow!  There were a lot more women riding in the event than I was expecting!  What a great turnout, and for such a good cause! From Ventura HD we headed for lunch at a nice little Mexican place called Casa Del Rio (  http://www.yelp.com/biz/casa-del-rio-ventura ).  Good food, prices, and service!

After lunch we headed towards Lake Casitas to start our  final leg of the ride. We headed up the 150... Hey, that nasty bump that's on a left turn on the 150 above Casitas is getting really bad.... be careful!...  and ended up taking the 192 West(seems like North) for a ways before heading to the 101, and meeting Roy at Der Weiner Schnitzel  for dessert!  A nice...short...ride!  A good time was had by one and all!

October Preview

October has us riding to Reyes Creek Bar and grill. We start off heading East to ride Lake Hughes Road. From there we head to Lebec for a gas stop. Then it's up Lockwood Valley Road to our lunch destination at
Reyes Creek Bar and Grill. After lunch, and for the final leg of the ride, it's  down the 33 and a last stop at the Deer Lodge!
October 12- Reyes Creek Bar and Grill in Lockwood Valley.

Please check with the  CCR Ride calendar  page on our website for up to date information on this ride

Next time you are in Cal Coast you might want to check out their CLEARANCE section which is at the
end of the chemical aisle.  There is a clothing rack and also some helmets against the wall.  They have some
good deals there.

 AN AFFORDABLE GPS
During our 49 ride we found out that Richard Gomes had a non-Zumo Garmin GPS that he downloaded our 3 day routes to and it was less than $200.  So if you are looking for an alternative to the $600 + Zumos you might want to get the Garmin nuvi 755T (765T has Bluetooth).  You can make your own routes using Mapsource and download it to the nuvi.  You can also download our routes to it so you can see where we are going as your ride with us.  It is has the speed limit signs for most roads so you will know what the speed limit is and why I am doing the speed that I am doing. You can use this in any car as well. Click here for the nuvi 755T and here is the cradle to mount on your bike.  If you run across a better price on the nuvi please let me know so I can pass it on.  These items will not be around forever so don't hesitate.
Check out our Zumo page that has some routes made by Cal Coast Riders.
Update 2014- Ron and Kim also have this GPS now.

Did you know that some of our members have their own web site?
Just go to our main page, navigate to the left column and look under "Members' Sites".

 TOWING OPTIONS
Hopefully you will never need to call a tow truck for your bike but if you do we have some
options to add to your cell phone. The following info can always be found on our Towing page.
Paul's Cycle Rescue  in Ventura County.  Paul has a trailer made for MCs and he knows what he's doing.

A member suggested that if you break down far from home it might be cheaper to rent a u-haul truck
with a trailer and tow your bike to wherever you need to go instead of paying a towing company their
per mile rate.  I think this is a great suggestion and I hope I remember this if I am ever in that situation.
